OVERVIEW OF ITACARÉ
Itacaré is known for its diversity of beaches that nature lovers will appreciate. It is a paradise for surfing and ecotourism. Itacaré meets nature, adventure, fun and sun all year. WHEN TO GO

The dry season runs from August to February, but in summer the town is packed, including excursions. From April to June and from August to November the movement is less, as well as the prices in hotels and restaurants.
For wave lovers, the swell go through the coast from March to October. The month of July, the better to catch waves, also has intense movement.
GETTING THERE
Itacaré is located in the BA-001 highway, between Sierra Grande and Camamu, about 70 km from Ilheus where is the nearest airport.
The BR-101 is the main access for those coming from south Brazil. For those coming from the northern region the best access is by the BA-001.
In general, coming from Salvador and Ilheus the roads are in good condition and well signposted, however, attention must be paid towards many curves and small communities make up the road scenario, so the importance of reducing speed .

Arrive in Ilheus (IOS) daily flights of TAM airlines, GOL, AZUL and AVIANCA originate from Sao Paulo, Brasilia, Belo Horizonte and Salvador.
