But the Emerald Coast is considered the Brazilian rustic-chic-ecological destination with amazing night-life, beaches and resorts just on the mainland. The eastern beaches like, Joaquina, Mole and Moçambique are great for the GLS and Surf crowd, and famous for it’s sand dunes and cliffs where sandboarding and paragliding are pfavorite sports for adults and children.whereas the Southern region is more hipster with areas where tourists can enjoy unspoiled and isolated beaches.

Florianópolis beaches nature and surf.
WHEN TO GO
Just as in many of the tourist destinations of our country it is in summer (November to March) that happens. The water is at its best temperature. So if you are not a surfer and do not want to get into cold ocean, do not go in winter.
It is worth remembering, however, that the holiday period – particularly after Christmas until the start of school (February), there are constant traffic jams on the beach departure time. A good alternative to alleviate the traffic effects is to know the Magic Island in February and March, when the tourism influence is already lower, and the water is still pleasant.
In the summer it rains more in Florianopolis (mainly from December to March), but nothing to make the brightness of the city and stop to enjoy fine beaches. Temperatures are in the region of 24 ° C, varying and always doing enough heat. In winter, when the rainfall is lower, the average temperature is 17 ° C. It is good to be always prepared to catch a chill, because when the wind comes from south, temperatures are milder.
Carnival and New Year are very busy times in the city. At the turn of the year is celebration with fireworks organized by the city, the so-called New Year’s Eve Dream. There is bustle on the edge of waterfront north, including fires in Hercilio Luz Bridge. In addition, there are private parties in bars and clubs.
